Situated at approx. 1,000 m above sea level, the Kaiserburg golf club is home to Carinthia’s highest located golf course. Nobody knows the course as good as the club’s most renowned honorary member, ski legend Franz Klammer. Fairway 5 has a special significance to the Olympic champion as it lies parallel to the final heat of the “K 70” downhill slope, where he won his first Europe Cup race.
The Kaiserburg golf course scores with broad fairways, quick greens and pleasant playing conditions. Designed by star architect and golf icon Donald Harradine, the 18-hole championship course is surrounded by a stunning mountain panorama. Thanks to the ancient tree population, even in the hot summer months golfers always find a shady place on the otherwise sundrenched terrain. In 2005 the Kaiserburg golf course was given the “Top of the Mountains“ award, ranking it among the best golf courses in the Austrian Alps!
