In the Biosphere Park Nockberge you can enjoy an uncomplicated and wonderful holiday. If you arrive by public transport, we will gladly arrange a transfer to the hotel (at cost).

By car

Getting to Bad Kleinkirchheim from Vienna

Shortest route: Vienna via Semmering - Bruck an der Mur - Scheifling - Murau - Turracherhöhe - Bad Kleinkirchheim

Fastest route: Vienna via A2 motorway - Graz - Klagenfurt (north exit) - Feldkirchen - Bad Kleinkirchheim

Please note the current information/blocking on the Tauern Autoreisezug - Anschlussstelle Böckstein.

Due to the A10 tunnel construction site, there is an alternative route via the Grossglockner High Alpine Road during the off-season periods (May, June and from 11 September to the end of October 2024):

Munich - Lofer - Saalfelden - Zell/See - Fusch an der Glocknerstrasse - Heiligenblut - Spittal/Drau - Bad Kleinkirchheim

This offer is valid only on the day of arrival and departure with booking confirmation of the accommodation and not in July and August 2024.


In July and August 2024, we recommend that you take the Felbertauern-Bundesstraße:

Munich - Rosenheim - Kitzbühel - Mittersill - Felbertauern - Lienz - Spittal/Drau - Bad Kleinkirchheim

Road tolls in Austria

Please be aware that you need a 'vignette' toll sticker to drive on Austria’s motorways and 'S' roads!

  • Ten-day toll sticker: € 11,50
  • Two-month toll sticker: € 28,90
  • One-year toll sticker: € 96.40

Apart from the general requirement of a motorway vignette there are also special toll rates that apply on cost-intensive Alpine crossings in Austria. The special toll tickets can be paid either directly at the respective toll station or paid in advance by purchasing a video toll card.

Transfer from the train station to Bad Kleinkirchheim

Public buses run at regular intervals between Spittal or Villach to Bad Kleinkirchheim (both towns are around 30 km away).

The Bahnhofshuttle service in Carinthia takes you comfortably from the train station to your holiday accommodation.

Arrival by e-car

Electric car drivers are welcome in the Bad Kleinkirchheim region! We have installed electric car charging points in the hotel car park. If you want to charge your car, please ask at the reception for a chip, which saves the amount of energy during charging. Cost: € 0.50/kWh.
